She possesses a mature and sensual vocal style, which she honed by performing at folk music restaurants in the late 90s, eventually releasing her first album Xin Yuan (Wishes) in 2007. Although she started as a pop singer, she eventually discovered her true passion lies in Jazz and Bossa Nova. As a result, she became the first Chinese singer to blend Bossa Nova into Mandarin pop music, earning her the title of “Bossa Princess”. Her album Brasileiro received tremendous acclaim and even graced the cover of Hong Kong’s Audiophile magazine 2011 CD Bible, an authoritative audiophile album guide listing the 800 All-Time-Best audiophile recordings. Her subsequent release, Romancing Asia, won "Best Album" at the Malaysia AIM Chinese Music Awards 2020, while also ranked sixth in the “Top 10 Best Albums of 2019” in Hong Kong’s Headlines music magazine and claimed the top spot in the Chinese music album charts.
