She obtained her Diploma in Graphic Design from The One Academy in 2003, before completing her MA in Type and Media from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague in 2009. Driven by her passion for exploring multi-script typography and font development, Sueh Li founded Huruf with a desire to discover a unique Malaysian identity in typography and type design. Signages, besides reflecting the visual culture of Malaysia's streets, also give us a glimpse into the culture, history, economy, politics, and lifestyle of a society. Sueh Li hopes to take us on a journey of discovering local aesthetics, cultural significance, and stories by looking at signboards on the streets and sharing with us the inspiring lessons she learned from these observations.
